The Best Loose-Leaf Tea And My Adagio Teas Obsession

It is no secret that I’m a coffee addict. With tea on the other hand, I go in phases. For months I’ll drink at least one cup of tea a day and then I’ll switch to no tea whatsoever. Being pregnant you never know what craving will hit next. Tea started out rough for me but coffee has been a no-go from the start. I quickly ditched both from my morning routine. Honestly I gave up on caffeine all together for a short period of time. After a bridal shower for my cousin’s soon-to-be wife at a tea shop, I was reminded of how much I loved the loose-leaf tea from Adagio Teas.

My tea pot had broken in our move last year and I had been sticking to just using tea bags from the grocery store. They never had the same flavor and I was always disappointed. After (way too many) varieties of tea at the bridal shower, I quickly hopped online and made a purchase from Adagio Teas. It was safe to say my tea obsession was back.

I didn’t know how long my tea obsession would last but a month and a half later it is still going strong. So are the packages that keep showing up at my house!

The more you order the better. There is free shipping on orders over $50.

Adagio Teas Must Have Items

Adagio Teas - Tumbler

Since my teapot had broken that held loose-leaf tea so nicely I decided it was time to pick up a new way to brew tea. Not only is the activiTEA tumbler reasonably priced but it has made mornings a lot easier to quickly make my tea all in one place. Once the water is heated up, you turn it upside down and the tea brews. I can make it with my morning smoothies and run out the door without having to find another cup for my drink.

Flavored Tea

Fruity has been my tea obsession and the Adagio website is filled with so many different options. I originally picked up the Peach Tea as well as the Berry Blast tea in a sample size to give it a shot and figure out what would agree with my stomach. Each sample size pack makes about 10 cups of tea so I figured that would last me a bit.

It took me about a week to order a larger sized bag of the Berry Blast. Hands down, it is my favorite tea from Adagio Teas. Since I was ordering more I decided to pick up a sample bag of Blood Orange, Watermelon Cooler and Berry Blues. All three of them were great additions and have given me the chance to mix it up in the morning. For some reason it seems crazy to me but the Watermelon Cooler really does taste like watermelon.

The Best Loose-Leaf Tea

Who knows how long my current tea obsession will last, but one thing is for sure, I am currently obsessed. Coffee is hit or miss with me these days, so tea has been a great substitute.

Are you tea obsessed? Do you go in phases? What are your favorites?

  1. I only recently tried loose leaf tea for the first time and honestly I find it kind of messy compared to tea bags, and I’m not sure it tastes any different to me. Either way, I’m pretty obsessed with tea so thanks for posting 🙂

    1. It is definitely much messier of a cleanup! I still haven’t found a way around that part!

  2. I’m with you, I definitely go in phases when it comes to tea. But I love this tea bottle and I think since it’s now summer, I have to give it another try!

    1. For some reason Tea always seems like a good but lighter option in the summer, I’m not sure what it is specifically.

  3. I also go through tea phases. I have several teas that I purchased a few months ago but haven’t drank much tea lately. I love tea tumblers! They make life a lot easier when it comes to drinking tea. I’ll have to check out these teas once I finish the rest of my other ones.

  4. We’ve done so much better with not drinking soda or juices since we got our loose leaf tea brewer. My husband swore that he hated tea, but it turns out that he really loves it!

    1. It’s amazing how much more flavor can be in the loose leaf tea! That’s awesome that you were able to cut out so much soda and juice!

  5. I love drinking hot tea during the winter! Loose leaf tea is my favorite, and I love going to tea stores that has all kinds of flavors to choose from. And those bottles look awesome! I’ll have to check them out. Thanks for sharing 🙂

    1. It is kind of amazing how different loose leaf tea can taste to a regular tea bag. Tea stores often scare me with how expensive they are but I love all of the different flavors.

  6. I love Adagio! I actually became a member of their affiliate program when I started my food blog, and now I use their online custom tea designer to make teas for my different menus.

One of my favorite Adagio items is their paper filters. Just the right size for both teacups and teapots! 🙂

  7. The tumbler looks great! Sometimes the vessel our tea/coffee comes in can completely change the whole experience.
