First things first, I’m LOVING the comments over on 5 Myths About Losing Baby Weight. It’s a small discussion but it seems like everyone is running into the same myths I ran into on a regular basis. If only we knew who they actually applied to!?
Moving on. It’s August, holy cow. Summer has been flying by but it’s been a fun one. Last year at this time we were getting ready for Baby B to make his appearance and now we’re getting ready for his first birthday. Let’s catch up a little bit.
P.S. Don’t mind the insane amount of selfies in this post. Apparently I’ve been taking a lot lately.
Currently In Love With…
Eating: Anything but chicken and salad. We had the flu in mid-July and unfortunately it’s out the window for me for awhile. I’ve been enjoying changing things up with salmon and tilapia though. I recently discovered these veggie burgers and they have become a weekly staple in our house.
Drinking: For a long time now I’ve wanted to rotate in a pre-workout before my runs. I finally started drinking Nuun Hydration Energy before doing runs in the morning. After falling in love with those I decided to rotate in a Nuun Hydration drink once during the day as well to help with recovery after my longer runs. They are so delicious.
Wearing: Hi my name is Kristin and I’m a Lululemon addict. While 50% of my daily wardrobe tends to be Lululemon these days. I have been rotating in more and more Lularoe because the Classic T and Randy shirts are so incredibly comfortable. Both go great with my favorite skinny jeans. If you follow me over on Instagram, I’ve been trying to tag my favorites in my stories each week!
Organizing: We head out of town soon for a wedding for one of my closest friends. We’re getting everything ready for Baby B’s first airplane ride and Little Man’s first in awhile. So far everyone is excited but we’ll see how that actually ends up.
Reading: One thing I’ve been trying to get more into is reading more about the right food’s needed to fuel your body. I can’t wait to get my hands on the Ultimate Fitness Bundle but for now I’ve been going back to read Run Fast, Eat Slow. I’ve made a few recipes but haven’t taken the time to dig in and read the fine print.
Watching: Honestly I haven’t been “watching” a whole lot lately. This weekend the Track and Field World Championships kicked off so I caught about half of the women’s marathon on Sunday. I may or may not have been jumping up and down screaming at my computer watching Amy Hastings Cragg fight for that bronze!
Listening To: All Spotify all of the time!
Working Out: My big focus for the last few weeks has been increasing my running miles. I was VERY proud to finish up the Dietbet in June and then start to actually see some muscle definition starting. It’s small, but it’s there. I’ve compared some pictures from April to now and am still surprised to see how much has changed. I am incredibly happy with how things are going and can’t wait to keep pushing those miles! Baby B has been hanging with me throughout some of the miles and he always makes that post workout stretch interesting.
Loving The Fact That: We can still get our evening walks in.
Enjoying: A few weeks ago we started a weekend of trips to the local coffee shop for some donuts and coffee in the morning. Little Man gets excited for it and I never turn down a cup of coffee. It’s been a nice way to kick off our weekend together.
Feeling: I’m so excited to head out on vacation! It will be a weekend with family and friends who I haven’t seen in 2 years!
