DSC_0001-1Dear Blog,

I’m sorry that I’ve been away for awhile. It’s not that I haven’t been knitting… the time to write about my knitting has just been missing.

Since we last talked, I’ve gotten a lot done. In between weekend trips and late nights of work, I’ve managed to get a lot of knitting done. I also listed some new hand dyed sock yarn up at The Knitted Geek shop. I promise I’ve been busy.

I’ve finished 5 pair of baby booties, unfortunately I don’t have a picture to show you. I also finished an adorable football hat from Itty-Bitty Hats. I’d show you a picture but I recently switched hard drives and somehow lost the picture in transition. It was made especially for an Indianapolis Colts newborn, it was cute even if it wasn’t a Cleveland Browns or Chicago Bears hat.

On July 31st I managed to squeak in my July socks for the month. I was cutting it close but hey, I made it. With only missing one month and finishing three pairs of socks in January… I’m still well on my way to 12 pair for the year.

The yarn is Socks that Rock Lightweight in the colorway Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test, I used my Signature US 2 DPNs. Needless to say, I’m a fan!

While we’re at it… let’s pretend that I spent the weekend working on all of the “deadline” knitting that I have going on…

Except, that would be a lie.

You see when a situation that was completely out of my control landed in my lap on Thursday, I did what I always do when I can’t control something… I cast on a sock. 12 episodes of Make it or Break (don’t judge me) it later I might just have a finished Monkey Sock…

For the record, I’m in love with this yarn and may need to add some more of it to the collection… I mean stash… I mean to knit pile…

With all of that being said blog, I promise I’ll be back more regularly. This week you should keep your fingers crossed to see some finished baby knitting that has a deadline.

Love Always,
Kristin

PS. In case you’re wondering… I have already cast on the second one and fully plan on knitting on it for the rest of the night while watching the last two episodes of Make it or Break it on Netflix.
