January In An Instagram & a Not So Super Superbowl?

Suddenly it is the second week of February, January is long gone and the Super Bowl is over. How did that happen? Was anyone else as disappointed by the commercials as I was this year? While we watched the whole game I think it is safe to say I was unimpressed with most of it. Luckily I made Buffalo Chicken Dip for dinner and that takes care of any bad feelings. The Super Bowl just doesn’t exist without it.

January was a pretty fun month for me when it came to Instagram. I jumped in and participated in the Bloggers Gonna Blog Instagram Challenge and it really challenged me to think outside the box and what I was posting. Of course as January ended I completely fell off the Instagram wagon. I need to hop back on it ASAP because I’m so excited to continue to learn more thanks to Christina and this challenge! With all of that being said, here is my January in an Instagram.

As much as I HATE the Winter, we have been blessed with some pretty amazing sunrises this year. Little Man and I have so much fun each morning trying to find all of the orange in the sky. Plus, we’ve had very little snow so I really can’t complain too much.

For Christmas I bought my husband tickets to take our whole family back down to Bloomington for a weekend of fun and basketball. We had a blast getting Little Man his first basketball jersey, running around the hotel & cheering on Indiana as they pummeled Ohio State.

As seems to be the norm lately, Little Man had a few early mornings helping me with my blogging. One of these days sleep will happen. January was not that month.

From Southern Indiana to up North we managed to sneak out 4 full basketball games in one week. Topping it off with seeing the Valpo Crusaders take on Green Bay. As expected there wasn’t much contest but we love watching our teams.

Believe it or not, I even finished a pair of socks. I love my new Monkey socks and have already started another pair. You can’t go wrong with Monkeys.

  1. The sunrise photo is stunning! Love the colors you used in those socks too. I didn’t really watch the Super Bowl… I heard it from my office while I was working, and I saw previews of the top commercials the day prior on ESPN. That was enough for me! LOL πŸ˜‰

    1. Lol at least we can watch all of the commercials online! You didn’t miss much!!

  2. Your instagram pictures are awesome and I’M SO JEALOUS THAT YOU’RE ABLE TO KNIT A PAIR OF SOCKS. This is a definite goal of mine! haha – I can’t get passed knitting scarves though!! I’ve made plenty of those πŸ˜‰ I’ve tried to follow different tutorials online, but I’m sure a verbal learner that it is hard to follow!
Oh, I’m with you on the disappointment of the super bowl!!
So happy I found your blog, such a cute space πŸ™‚

    1. Socks are not NEARLY as hard as they look! You can totally do it! It is a lot like knitting a scarf you just knit in the round! Check out Youtube, there are tons of great tutorials! Welcome!

    1. That is good to know I was not the only one who felt that way! Here’s to better commercials next year!
