Father’s Day is taken care of in our house but I find myself coming up with new ideas every few days. Why can’t Christmas and Birthday be this easy? Need a last minute idea? Hit up the hardware store or check out a few of these fun ideas.
Tickets To See Their Favorite Team
This is always a favorite present in our house. Back when we first started dating, my husband and I used to get each other tickets for a lot of the bigger holidays. Instead of physical gifts it meant that we got to spend a day (or weekend) just the two of us. We still do this from time to time and it is definitely a favorite! Sometimes it is nice to take the whole family out or even just keep the day as a get away for you two! Don’t worry, even if its a day away from the kids, it is still a gift from the kids.
Pinterest is filled with THOUSANDS of ideas for pictures with kids, many of them you could do right in your own backyard. Who would turn down a picture of their favorite little girl or boy?
Can they really have too many tools? Wait, don’t answer that question. Rumor has it the Geatex GXT60 -58 to 1112°F Dual Laser Instant-read IR Infrared Thermometer Non contact Digital Temperature Gun with Dual Laser Sight Targeting Pointing range -50 to 600°C is a must have this year. Chances are they’ll be particular about brand & type of tool so you could always rely on a gift card and let dad pick it out.
Water Bottle That Detects Dehydration
If Dad is into fitness or keeping on track with water, maybe he would like to help the new kickstarter campaign for the water bottle that glows when you might be dehydrated. It isn’t due out until Winter but I wouldn’t mind getting on that list!
A Fitbit is a great gift to get Dad on his feet & competition going in the house. With multiple colors, sizes & features Fitbit has one that fits just about anyone’s needs. Plus it gives you an excuse to treat yourself to one. Dad can’t go at it alone right?
If nothing else, Amazon has you covered with a huge Father’s Day sale complete with tools, TVs, watches and a number of other electronics.
At the end of the day if you’re completely stumped (and Amazon failed you) you can pretty much guarantee that a household appliance will go out soon and as a result Dad might wind up with a new sump pump for Father’s Day, or is that just our house? Just kidding. Kind of.
What is your favorite Father’s Day gift to give/receive?
