A few months ago I decided to change up my lunch time routine and start spending my lunch hours at the coffee shop near my office. Not only was it a nice distraction but it gives me a chance to do some blogging without sneaking it in at 10pm at night. I don’t make it every day to the coffee shop, but on the days I do there is always a wonderful new flavor of coffee to try. Today I’m enjoying a coffee called “turtles in a cup” and I have to say it is my new favorite.

I think it is safe to say that I’ll always be a sucker for any flavor of coffee. Rarely do I find one I do not like…but I highly advise against trying Golden French Toast.

Maybe today should be called Thursday tangents instead of random Thursday thoughts.

Moving on.

Has anyone else been watching April the Giraffe? While (at the moment) she still has not had her baby, I’m still laughing at this mom who spoofed her. After seeing the news reports (and checking daily) I have a new found respect for giraffes. Did you know they’re pregnant for 15 months and their calf will be 150 pounds? No thank you!

This weekend I started thinking about how much sugar I consume on a daily basis. After a 3 and a half hour car ride discussing this with myself, I decided I needed to cut back on some of the extra sweets I’ve been sneaking in lately. Ironically Terryn posted Monday morning on her blog How Much Sugar Should You Consume A Day? Clearly I’ve had too much lately, but she has some wonderful insight on this topic.

A few months ago I came across the blog Making Sense of Cents and have become a big fan. This week she posted 11 Reasons To Choose The RV Life. While it is not something we would do, I love following other people’s journeys. A good friend of ours from a previous job has been traveling the country and their photos are just breathtaking.

Last but not least, has anyone else seen the hints that Gilmore Girls might come back for another season? While the reboot was filled with terrible acting, I HAVE to know how things play out with Rory, Logan and the baby. Anyone else?

What new things have you found this week?
Are you following April the Giraffe?
RV Life? Yes or No?

  1. I cut sugar over a year ago and it’s been great. Definitely worth it.

I NEED another season of Gilmore Girls. They can’t leave it like that. They just can’t. It is not allowed. 😉

    1. That is good to know! I am definitely cutting back, that is for sure!

I can’t wait, I really hope the rumors are true and another season is coming!

  2. Sometimes mixing up your routine is a great way to increase your productivity! I’m glad you’ve been enjoying the coffee shop.

    1. Yes it is! I love mixing it up sometimes and now I’m completely addicted to a whole new brand of coffee. Yikes!

  3. I totally need another season of Gilmore Girls too! I yelled at my TV when it just ended THAT way…

    1. Seriously! They can’t just end on that note. I knew the producers had a plan to end the original series with 4 words so the day it was released I had to look them up, when they happened I still screamed!

  4. Heya thanks for the shout out! I just finally got around to checking on our inbound links and saw you had linked to us. Can’t wait to swing through your guys area and catch up!
