It is the time of the year again where the “new years resolution” talk starts and the “I’ll start eating healthy again after the holidays are over” promises are made. Last year I can honestly say I had a great holiday season when it came to eating. This season, let’s just say I’m not off to a good start. I really am trying to hold down the snacking and was incredibly excited to discover MealEnders.
What Are Meal Enders?
From Their Website: MealEnders Signaling Lozenges are a revolutionary way to help beat overeating, master portion control and curb snacking by clearing cravings from the mouth and mind. MealEnders’ combines the best of food science and behavioral psychology to offer a stimulant-free way to fight the urge to overindulge.
In other words…MealEnders have a slight candy coating on the outside to help take care of your sweet tooth but a different taste on the inside to handle your desire for more food. You can settle a chocolate craving and the mental game of wanting more food with just one piece.
Currently MealEnders come in four flavors:
- Chocolate Mint (My Favorite)
Each flavor has a slightly different flavored outside coating as well as the main flavor on the inside.
I have a sweet tooth, it is no secret with anyone who knows me. If I had my way, I would eat chocolate all day long. With MealEnders I have been able to eat a small piece with a much smaller dent in my daily calories and be content for a few hours.
One of the first things I did when I got my box of MealEnders was throw it in my work bag. I work at a desk and have a very hard time sometimes controlling how much I eat and what I eat. These have been wonderful to mix in with my lunch as desert and have helped me to avoid snacking more than I should be.
We spent a good portion of last week traveling. While we were on the road, fast food was generally the answer. I am one of those people who has to balance out salt with sweets. Instead of adding a stop for chocolate at every gas station, I decided to challenge myself to stick with the MealEnders instead. The chocolate mint MealEnders were the perfect treat and kept me away from the treats (well most of them, it was Thanksgiving after all) as we stopped on our trip.
The only thing that threw me off guard was the after taste. It took a few tries to get used to. The after taste is what helps with future cravings and was a little unexpected at first. As I’ve gotten used to them they have been a nice little treat after each meal. I do advise letting it settle before taking a drink of water, that after taste I haven’t gotten used to!
I’m looking forward to keeping a stash of MealEnders in my desk at work as the holiday treats roll in and a stash in my purse as we celebrate with friends and family. Here’s to not completely blowing my
lack of healthy eating this holiday season!
