September Link Love

Another Summer is wrapping up way to fast. I’m refusing to let the word “Fall” into our every day vocabulary but I may or may not have had to break out the boots this week. School is back in session, Friday night lights (aka football season) is in full force and it’s officially starting to cool off outside. Just a few more weeks until we break out the caramel apple cider.

Outside of the basics, life has been pretty crazy lately. We had a wonderful trip to San Francisco. One of my best friends got married. We caught up with family who lives in France and even got a distant look at the Golden Gate Bridge. If you’re ever in SF I highly recommend a few hours at Fisherman’s Warf.

The news has been awful lately so let’s catch up with a few links worth your time that might bring a smile instead of a frown.

San Francisco

Feel Good Links

I don’t typically watch a lot of college football these days. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll have fun at a game any day but when it comes to the weekends I have two little guys who occupy more of my time. The story of USC Kicker Jake Olson had all of the wonderful feels this weekend.

It is STILL SUMMER here so take a few minutes to catch up on every Summer song since 1958. Watching the video will only take 4 minutes of your time and I promise you will not have Despacito stuck in your head at the end of it.

Watching this ponytail braid is kind of mesmerizing. If only it really was as easy as it looks.

On a Not So Feel Good Note

Anyone who knows me knows that gymnastics has been a large part of my life. I wasn’t a great gymnast but gymnastics will always have an incredibly special place in my heart. Over the last year or so there has been so much information that has come out about treatment of gymnasts by people the community has respected. A GREAT article was released this week by a phycologist who has worked with quite possibly the best US gymnast ever.

This article not only hit home as a former gymnast but as a parent as well. This article is a MUST READ.

New Items Added to My Wish List

Everyone knows I love anything Gilmore Girls. This shirt is on the top of my love list right now.

While we’re talking great gift ideas…. another funny coffee mug that might need to be added to my collection. Yes, it is slightly political. Nope, I don’t care!

In no way am I “wishing” for Winter to come up but this Creamy Crock Pot Hot Chocolate sounds absolutely delicious. I saved off the links and can’t wait to make it in 5 or 6 months.

What are some great links you’ve run across this week?

  1. It still feels like summer where I am, but you have me wishing fall would get here sooner! That caramel apple cider sounds ahhh-mazing! I love all of these feel good stories, too. My hubby loves college football and I enjoy watching, but I love hearing the stories behind the players. I watched the USC game last week and was astounded by the inspiration story of this particular player. His story and your post makes me want to go tackle the weekend!
