Every. Single. Day.

The most important day of the week for me to have my routine is Monday’s. Starting the week off on the right foot is the most important. It sets the tone for the rest of the week.

Last week is the perfect example. With a sick little man my Monday routine was anything but normal. By the end of the week (and a cold for myself) I had only hit my morning routine twice. By the end of the week I was frustrated and ready for a new start.

I’m usually lucky to hit my routine 3-4 days out of the week. On weeks I hit 5 for 5 there is nothing stopping my good mood. My morning routine is very set & keeps me organized as much as possible. It sets the tone for the day.

If I miss my morning workout it throws off the rest of my day. I didn’t used to be a morning workout person. This became a recent discovery a few months ago. After trying to workout in the evenings, I found that I was always wide awake from the adrenaline rush and not sleeping as well.

On a whim I decided to try doing a morning workout  a few days a week. All of the sudden I stopped needing coffee ASAP in the morning, I had more energy as the work day went on & I was much happier throughout the day. Not only was it a chance for me to wake up without anyone else deciding it was time for me to wake up, but It was also my chance to just mentally prepare myself for the day.

5am is my time.

What is your morning schedule? Do you get aggravated if your routine is of?

If you didn’t catch my first post, Rebecca from The Housewife Memoirs & I have challenged each other to keep up with a writing prompt every few weeks. I found Two Right Feet and decided to add it to my group of prompts to write about.

What are the things you need to do within 30 minutes of waking up to ensure your day gets off on the right foot? What happened the last time you didn’t do one of these things?
