Summer Running Clothes That I Can’t Stop Drooling Over

It is no secret that working out is towards the bottom of my to do list right now. With that being said, as I go back and look through old posts about summer running… I find myself wanting to buy new running clothes. Ironically, I wouldn’t fit into pretty much every type of running clothes I’m currently drooling over. There are some awesome deals out there this summer and if you’re looking to expand your collection of running clothes you’ve come to the right spot.

Summer Running Clothes

Summer Running Clothes – Tops

Nike Mesh Women’s Tank Top (similar) – I’m a huge fan of tank tops and this one looks so incredibly comfortable. It looks lightweight for a hot running day but covers enough if you are going to be outside around a lot of people.

Under Armour UA TechTM Heathered Tank Top – When it comes to the summer heat, nothing beats a tank top for your morning (or evening) outfit. With a sweat wicking fabric this tank would be perfect no matter how humid it gets. I’m not going to lie, I would wear this whether I had a run planned or not.

Old Navy Go Dry Tank – Generally speaking this is my go to tank top and they have so many new options this year. I love all of the Old Navy workout clothes and this summer line is no exception.

Summer Running Clothes – Bras

Nike Pro Rival Heather Women’s Sports Bra (similar) – I tend to avoid changing these up, but the new collection of sports bras from Nike look supportive and comfortable.

Nike Dry Fit Bra – Another bra from Nike’s collection that looks like it would be awesome for running. Nike’s dry fit line is wonderful and I would definitely give their bras a try!

Under Armour MID Women’s Sports Bra – A bra with extra mid support built in but includes a sweat wicking fabric is perfect for summer. It looks supportive and comes in about 20 different colors.

Summer Running Clothes – Bottoms

Under Armour Fly By HeatGear® Printed Capris Leggings – When it comes to running outside, my motto is the brighter the better. These leggings have a hint of neon while being a little more on the subtle side. Plus, they’re only $39.99 which is a pretty good deal for a good pair of leggings!

Old Navy Go Dry Compression Shorts – At the very end of last summer I decided to branch out and try the shorts from Old Navy. I didn’t regret it and will probably add these to my must buy list next year.

Nike 2-in-1 Compression Shorts – “Regular” running shorts often scare me. These are awesome because they have both the compression shorts built in with a regular pair of running shorts. I might need a few pair of these for next year!

The Perfect Accessory

After This We’re Getting Pizza – I may or may not have an obsession with water bottles. This one is perfect.

As for me, I’m going to continue looking through tons of different running clothes and use that as motivation to get back in shape by next summer.

What are your go to running clothes in the summer?

  3. I love wearing work out clothes, just so comfy! My favorites are the nike shorts you shared, they are comfy and don’t ride up as much as other running shorts I’ve tried.

  4. I love Nike’s dry fit sports bras (actually I love the whole line). That water bottle is a reminder of why I run. Lol. I do like to eat. I love cute work out clothes. It helps me to become more motivated to get myself to moving.

  7. I love all of these outfits! I have a huge obsession with buying new gym clothes. It’s horrible. I buy gym clothes more often than I buy any other type of clothing haha

    1. It really is easy to just keep buying more workout clothes. They are addicting to buy.

  8. Great post! I’m drooling over all the sports bras and the new technology companies are using. I have yet to try a sports bra with the built in underwire. A great bra is essential to getting a great workout.

    1. Yes! I feel like having a good bra could change everything. I’ve tried the ones from Athleta with the built in wire and they haven’t been bad. You don’t even notice it.

  9. Some really great choices here, I am obsessed with fitness gear and thankfully playing roller derby, running, yoga, swimming & working out in the gym allows me to get away with treating myself (and wearing it alot) 😛
    Great post!
