TGIF & Some Link Love

Disclaimer: This post may contain affiliate links.

It’s Friday! Another week we can officially say we have survived. Maybe survived is not the right word to use, let’s go with powered through. Am I the only one who feels that way right now? I’m not going to lie, I LOVE that my boys get to spend time at home during the summer but it is rough going to work when everyone in the house is just starting their breakfast.

Mommy wants bacon and eggs too.

Moving on. It’s Friday and time to gear up for a weekend of running around, playing at the parks, going for walks and maybe even sneaking in a run on our new (to us, thank you garage sales) jogging stroller.

As usual the internet is on top of everything. There are some great links out there this week that you definitely shouldn’t miss.

A Few Links You Must Check Out

I am not sure why but I seriously can’t stop laughing at this tweet. Yes, I realize how inappropriate it is but I needed the laugh this week. Also, can I please have some avocado toast?

Speaking of avocados, I saw this video going around Facebook and need to invest in a few avocados to make this with ASAP. What is not to love about every ingredient?

Another recipe that might have to be moved to the top of my “must make” list is a homemade DQ Cake. I really don’t think you can go wrong with Dairy Queen in any way.

This week the Track and Field World Championships have been going on. I’ve loved watching as many replays as I can, nothing will beat the marathon. This is a great short interview with Amy Hastings Cragg. Although, my favorite picture might have to be of Justin Gatlin showing love to Usain Bolt.

The Ultimate Parenting Bundle came out this week. You know I’m a fan of my bundles and this one looks just as incredible as the others. I would highly recommend checking it out.

Blog Posts You Should Probably Check Out

I’ve mentioned them before. The Vegan Voyagers (run by one of our longtime friends) posted their RV renovations this week and it is a MUST SEE. I was completely shocked. While I have no aspirations to travel the country in an RV, they made it a little cozy home for their whole crew.

Summer over at Coffee With Summer posted a great article on how to own Twitter as a blogger and it is a must read. I’ve been a fan of Twitter since the beginning and I have no desire to ever give it up. It might not be high volume for a lot of bloggers, but these tips could change your opinion of that.

If you are looking for some end of the summer reads, A Mama’s Tale posted 10 Absolutely Perfect Summer Reads. My list keeps growing of things I can’t wait to read. Oh goodness, maybe that was a bad link to find.

Finding balance in life is far from easy. Homemakers in Action posted a great list of ways to Help Find Work / Life Balance. Wonderful advice and a blog worth taking a few minutes to read!

What was your favorite link this week?

  1. Thank you for sharing my Twitter post, Kristin! Means a ton! I love that you love Twitter – it really is an amazing platform.

    1. I 100% agree! I love being able to have short and sweet conversations and some of my favorite “quotes” have simply just been from something someone has tweeted!

  2. Wow, those avocado eggs look aaaammmazing. Holy cow, I can’t believe those haven’t crossed my FB feed before!

The Twitter article is excellent as well! I’ve struggled with being active and engaged on Twitter, so this gives me some things to think about.
