Fat Pants

In kicking off my birthday week I definitely did not stay on track with food. I did however manage to squeeze in four runs (even though I had hoped for five) so I stayed on track with my weekly workouts. It wound up being a little rougher week than I expected by the end as I came down with some kind of virus/cold.

Ironically four days this week I was in the 12,000 step range. That must be my lucky number for the week.

Sunday:

We had been traveling this weekend so Sunday wasn’t quite a day to squeeze in a workout or many steps.

Total Steps: 6,713

Monday:

What better way to kick off turning 30 than a 5am 30 minute run on the treadmill?

Treadmill Run
Distance: 3.30
Time: 30:00

Total Steps: 12,636

Tuesday:

I really felt the Red Lobster I ate last night but it was still nice to get up and get going. In the end I was glad I got my run in and felt SLIGHTLY less guilty for my Red Lobster dinner.

Treadmill Run
Distance: 3.5 Miles
Time: 31:45

Time: 12,631

Wednesday:
The food from this week has officially caught up with me. I’m struggling to get through my runs, but still hanging in there. It still feels good to be going strong three days in a row.

Treadmill Run
Distance: 3.25
Time: 29:30

Total Steps: 12,231

Thursday:

In terms of steps, this became my weakest day of the week. We had a little man who wasn’t feeling 100% so instead of a good night sleep, we were up and down all night. I wound up skipping my run and grabbing an extra hour of sleep.

Total Steps: 5,624

Friday:

Friday turned out to be an interesting day. I didn’t quite feel right when I woke up but I pushed myself to do my run anyways. After my run I had a ton of energy and was ready to go. Somewhere around 2:00 my whole body just felt like it was going to collapse. It turns out I had a low-grade fever. Needless to say I spent the rest of the night in bed.

Treadmill Run
Distance: 4.0
Time: 36:14

Total Steps: 15,986

Saturday:

No workout planned but we spent the day in South Bend at the Notre Dame game. I more than got my steps in! Do I get bonus steps for carrying a toddler too?

Total Steps: 12,411

New Goals: Run 4-5 days this week, get back on track with food.

What are your goals for the week?

  1. Haha I had a good chuckle at that someecard you’ve got there. I can totally relate. I love that you write all of this down (and blog it)! What a great sense of accountability that must be. I’ve really struggled with my journey to fitness. I ended up getting a PT because I really needed someone to hold me accountable, but it’s expensive. Perhaps I should try blogging about it?

    1. Oh a PT I could see being a huge help! My biggest help in attempting to lose weight was having a friend who was doing it too. We held each other accountable through text message. A simple picture of the treadmill screen was enough to motivate me to get going. Blogging has been awesome though because it gives me a chance to look back at how far I’ve come.
