Currently In July

Hello friends!

June is officially long gone and we are a full week into July already. I’m not really sure how that happened but to be honest, I’m okay with it. I’m hoping this month we can pick back up into more blog posts and great conversations. June completely drained me mentally so writing out all of these ideas I had in my head did not happen as much as I would have liked. Looking forward to July I have so many things I want to share with you. For now… a little bit of currently in life update.

Currently In July

Currently In Love With…

Eating: All of our Fourth of July leftovers. Every year we have a wonderful party with all of our family and friends… there is a parade, fireworks drinks and SO MUCH FOOD! I’m hopeful that we’ll get through MOST of the leftovers this year without too much going to waste.  

Drinking: Oh so much water. After a wonderful party on Tuesday (and a lot of Sangria) I’ve been trying to wash all of the junk food out of my body. Most days I’m kicking off the day with my new favorite protein shake.

Wearing: I’m incredibly fortunate that I get to wear comfortable clothes to work every day. This week I’m not even going to pretend like I’ve worn anything but comfy leggings and comfy tops. For the Forth of July I was able to rock a pair of Lularoe Americana leggings from my sister-in-law’s shop as well as this shirt

Currently Doing…

Organizing: Laundry. It really never ends.

Reading: I’ve been pretty bad with reading lately. Most books I’ve picked up I haven’t made it more than two minutes into before I’ve fallen asleep. One day…

Watching: I’m fairly addicted to YouTube lately. By fairly addicted I mean I catch up on my two favorites once a week while I fold laundry. Gracie’s Journey and Jake Dalton channels are definitely worth checking out if you are into fitness.

Listening To: I go back and forth when it comes to podcasts vs. music. My husband is starting to get into podcasts so I’ve been catching up on some of my favorite basketball podcasts (Podcast on the Brink | Assembly Call | Union Street Hoops). I’ve also been enjoying listening to The Chasing Joy podcast and catching up on some of the older episodes.

Planning For: With Fourth of July wrapped up we are taking a short break from planning things before we start planning Baby B’s first birthday party. I’m not sure at all how this little guy is 10 months old but he is growing so fast!

Working Out: I’ve been switching back and forth between running four days a week and lifting weights 2 days a week. Running is my happy place but I know the weights are helping. I can see the difference. I just completed Gracie’s Dietbet last week and am so incredibly close to my goal weight. 


Loving The Fact That: The sunrise has been absolutely beautiful lately so I’ve been enjoying catching that when I wake up in the morning. Mother Nature never ceases to amaze me.

Enjoying: Settling back in after a wonderful Fourth of July.

Feeling: Is it possible to be completely exhausted and happy at the same time?
