Fourth of July is our favorite holiday here. We host the party, there are parades, family, food and fireworks. The kids have a blast & we look forward to it every year. Things are a little different this year as we are in a new neighborhood so we have been playing things by ear this year as we find out the details of the celebrations around us. In the mean time I’ve been hunting down some of my Fourth of July favorites to share.
These Red White and Blueberry Yogurt Pops were posted on another blog a few weeks ago and insanity convinced me that I need a Popsicle maker. I still don’t have one (or even molds to make them) but this needs to happen ASAP.
For our team potluck & Fourth of July party last year I made these s’mores on a stick. My mom is making them this year and I can’t wait. If you are looking for a quick and easy Fourth of July treat I highly recommend picking up dipping chocolate, crushed up graham cracker & some marshmallows. They won’t disappoint. I kind of have a s’mores problem. Very rarely do I find something s’mores that I dislike.
A watermelon keg video started going around Facebook this week and it looks so incredibly fun to try. Has anyone done this before? Was it successful? I want to try!
What to wear for a Fourth of July race – I’m not running on the Fourth of July but Run. Eat. Repeat had some great ideas on different ways to put together a patriotic, yet comfortable outfit to run in.
I always get into a huge debate about what to wear for the Fourth of July. Usually it’s warm, but I want to be comfortable. I picked up the Rewind Trapeze Dress dress from Kohls but I’m still undecided. What are your thoughts? yes or no? The American Flag flip flops though are a definite yes, you can’t beat comfy flip flops for $3.99.
