There are rare occasions when I run into non-knitters who truly truly appreciate the time and effort that goes into a hand knit project. Over my years of knitting I have come up with lists of people who I will knit an extensive project for and people who won’t think twice about whether a project took two hours or thirty-two hours.
7 months ago I got a text from my husband with some exciting news, our friends were expecting! They are people who appreciate the time and effort that goes into knitting a project so I had no hesitation what so ever when the idea of a hand knit baby blanket came up!
Their baby girl is due in mid-August and today I was able to gift off her sweet little blanket.
The details:
Pattern: Sunny Baby Blanket
Yarn: Baby Bee Hushabye Solid – Sugar Plum
Needles: US 10
I absolutely loved knitting this blanket and nothing makes me more excited than seeing someone who is beyond excited to see what the finished object looks like!
