Wow I failed at getting back into blogging now didn’t I? I swear things are back to semi-normal and I really will be posting more updates! I’m also back to a little more knitting time in life!
I’m continuing on my goals for 2012 in finishing one project from 2011 or before a month. February and March became sock months as I wrapped up two of the six pairs of socks I had on the needles. (We won’t talk about the pair I cast on last weekend).
First up was my Christmas Socks.
I swore up and down that I would not cast these on as soon as I got them in the mail. Yet, I did. They were the November 2011 Rockin Sock Club! They are the Candied Cufflet Comfort Socks in the Colorway Comfort and Joy. It’s not currently available on the site but it will be NEXT year!
I loved the colors and I loved these socks. It is a little odd that a Christmas sock would have a short cuff but I don’t really mind. I wear them anyways!
The other pair of socks I finished was “just another pair of socks”. One thing I tried to do a lot in 2011 was expand my knitting skills. Part of that was I switched and tried Wendy’s Toe Up With Gusset sock from Socks from the Toe Up and did it on magic loop. In the end I determined I hate magic loop so I won’t be going back to that with socks. I did do two full pairs of socks to determine that I hate it!
These were done out of an Opal yarn whose colorway I have lost the tag for! They were fun socks and they are very comfortable now that they are done!
For the rest of this month I’m wrapping up some baby projects I’m behind on for some people and working on my husband’s socks that I gave him an IOU for at Christmas! 🙂
What’s on your needles?
