Rodan + Fields UNBLEMISH

I’ve fought acne for a long time. In high school I pretended not to care, but ultimately by the end of college I was looking for a solution. Every time the dermatologists would get it under control my skin would change, hormones would change or something would reject the solution. After having my son I was told that as long as I was nursing they couldn’t do anything for me due to most topical medicines not being safe to go through your milk to an infant.

Once I stopped nursing I was then told that these were still considered dangerous. While getting pregnant wasn’t on my mind, I was told that they will cause miscarriages if I were to get pregnant while using them. Not being 100% comfortable with something that is that dangerous, I decided after 2 months of use it wasn’t worth the risk regardless of what our plans were. Who really wants to put something that dangerous on their skin twice a day?

Things still weren’t working and my good friend, Amy, had just become a Rodan+Fields consultant. I was frustrated so she talked to me about the different things they sold. At this point I was tired of dealing with dermatologists telling me there was no “safe” solution and I decided to give it a shot.

I started using the Rodan+Fields UNBLEMISH kit in mid-January of 2015 and by mid-March I was already impressed with the results.

The Basics

There are multiple different lines of products you can choose from. Based on my situation, Rodan + Fields UNBLEMISH made the most sense for me. This isn’t just a face wash. It is a daily treatment for your skin. With that being said, each “kit” comes with multiple bottles to be used. For example:

The UNBLEMISH Regimen features four full-size products: Acne Treatment Sulfur Wash 125 mL/4.2 Fl.Oz.; Spot Fading Toner 125 mL/4.2 Fl.Oz. OR Clarifying Toner 125 mL/4.2 Fl.Oz.; Dual Intensive Acne Treatment 2 x 22.5 mL/.76 Fl.Oz.; and Oil Control Lotion SPF 20 30 mL/1 Fl.Oz. (Rodan + Fields website)

Each kit comes with a schedule that you should follow. I failed miserably at this until I actually read the directions after two weeks of using everything twice a day. I HIGHLY recommend following the schedule as it eases your face into getting to use the products.

Other Available Kits:

  • Redefine
  • Reverse
  • Soothe

You can also add on different items to your kit. I stuck with the spot fading toner but there is also a clarifying toner as well. They sell eye cloths, mineral peptides, or you can go as far as buying the kit with the REDEFINE MACRO Exfoliator.

They are very clear in telling you that it takes time. You will not see results over night. I saw my results over a period of about three months and have seen it consistently since then.

The Price

As I have told people about this wonderful product everyone looks at me like I’m crazy when I mention the price. It is a little bit pricy but to me it has been 100% worth it. If I had continued with the topical medicines recommend by the dermatologist, I would have been paying close to $400 every two months (or so) for the three prescriptions not including face wash or lotion.

With Rodan + Fields, for $171 you get the entire kit in the mail. Each kit is slightly different in price but they all are around the same as UNBLEMISH.

If you want to take the “risk” (worth it) you can also become a PC Perks member where you will get shipments every two months. This also will give you a discount on your kit. For example, my UNBLEMISH kit is actually $155 under the perks membership.

The best part about the Perks membership is that they give you a heads up before your stuff ships. I’ve found that my kit for the most part actually lasts about 4 months while my face wash lasts about 2 months. I’ve switched my kits to ship every four months and have just ordered the face wash as I need it. It is much more practical and I don’t have tons of leftovers laying around!

Rodan + Fields UNBLEMISH Safety

As I mentioned, one of the big reasons I stayed AWAY from the products recommended by the dermatologist is because of problems they could cause. Regardless of what my plans are in life with children I did not feel safe putting a chemical like that on my body long term. I double checked and the Rodan+Fields products ARE considered safe.

For all of you nursing mama’s out there trying to control your hormones, check them out immediately! Rodan+Fields does recommend you check with your doctor before making any changes to your skincare routine.

  1. What the heck?! A medication that tells you that you’re going to have a miscarriage, no thanks, that’s scary! These photos are testimony in itself, you don’t even have to say anything more. I know a lot of people have used this product and had it worked wonders for them. The results are wonderful.
