20140426-184849-e1398564287151My original plan was 3.1, it was cold, windy and I still am feeling the effects of eating horribly the other night. While falling down the rabbit hole that is pinterest (something I do not do all that often), I came across an ecard that said: “If you spent as much time working out as you do on Pinterest, you would actually look like the toned women you post on your “Motivation” board”. Which I feel like was the kick in the butt I needed to get going.

I adjusted my route once I got going and kind of made it up as I went along. When I got home I mapped everything out and was pretty excited to see that I actually ran a decent time. Lately my hamstrings have been super tight so I wound up pushing myself to keep going and did 3.48 miles. I did stop for about 10 seconds at one point to stretch. I came home to look up some more running stretches and told myself I need to start actually being better about this stuff!

Tomorrow is “long run” Sunday. Assuming the weather holds up, my goal is to run 6 miles. I honestly am not sure if I’ve ever run that far (high school cross country included) but I’m going for it! This past week a few of my friends and I officially decided that our goal by the end of this year is to run the Hot Chocolate 15k. We’ll see what happens.

Since I got on a Pinterest kick today, I thought I’d share a few things I found. if someone decided to buy this “Run Hard, Eat Cupcakes” hoodie for me. I might just love them forever. It is so incredibly hilarious and very much one of my closest friends and I. My day really started out on Pinterest because I was looking for running stretches. I did in the end find a bunch of running tanktops I decided I should buy if I ever have endless amounts of money.

A friend and I are also starting “inspiration boards” in the next week. We have a lot of inside jokes and started running out of space to put them up everywhere so we are working on getting them together. I pinned a few things that might need to be added to our inspiration boards.

Since we all worked hard and kicked our butt in gear today, we deserve to stare at some food. Seriously though, who doesn’t love cupcakes?
