I photographed my first wedding as a second shooter with Cat Hoffman. We had a great time at the wedding and for me it was a full day of firsts. Not only was it my first wedding, but it was my first time shooting with a flash! In photo class in high school we always used natural or studio light but never made it as far as attaching a flash to our camera. Which I think is awesome because we learned so much more about low light settings, but now I’m learning about using a flash and I love it!
Here are some of my favorites from the wedding:
The groom surprised the bride with the carriage ride. It was pretty fun to follow a horse and carriage down a major highway. Between taking tons of pictures and watching the groomsmen run alongside the carriage, it made for a great 45 minutes of photography!
Overall it was a wonderful first wedding experience. I learned a lot and can’t wait to do some more!
