Hey there,
In October of 2017 I published a blog thinking not much of it… the next thing I know 2022 is here and this blog has sat quietly since.
I didn’t intend for that to happen, but it did.
A lot has happened in 4.5 years, so let’s catch up a little bit and I’ll share where this blog is heading.
What’s Up In Life?
Since we last chatted, I joined Rodan+Fields as a consultant and poured my heart into sharing the products with those around me. While I truly loved the products and the experience, over time I realized that what I loved most was seeing people feel confident in their skin.
It brought me so much joy to get an exciting text about someone’s acne clearing up. It’s the little things, right?
While that started to take up my time, so did life with the kids. B began to develop food sensitivities and we spent a good deal of time trying to get to the bottom of it.
Through that journey, I also began to tackle my own journey with anxiety. Oddly enough, the two were related. Just two weeks after my last blog was posted I began putting my mental health first. Yes, that is part of why I fell off the face of the earth.
Between B’s tummy issues and my anxiety, I began to realize how important food and our relationship with it is. In July of 2020 (hello pandemic), I went back to school and became a Holistic Nutrition Coach. Health and wellness quickly became my jam and I transitioned into coaching over the last year and a half while continuing to work in Marketing.
So Why Bring Back The Blog?
Each week I share a blog post about nutrition on my website www.kristinlongacre.com. There’s a podcast, a youtube channel, and a few courses there as well. However, I found myself missing the outlet to just share non-nutrition-related things. This is what this blog has been since day one (back in good ol’ 1999).
I don’t expect this to be a consistent thing, but as I’ve been slowly finding myself reading more I felt the need to share the books I love, shopping items I found, and other things going on.
There are a few book reviews coming soon, maybe some link love, if I can put it all together and some knitting projects that might pop up from time to time.
Ultimately, blogging was always a way for me to share what was up in life and what was on my mind. I can’t wait to get back to it.
How are you? How has life been?
