Early November Friday Favorites

It is Friday and it is officially November. The Halloween decorations have yet to be put away but we have been enjoying an unusually warm week here so we have spent every free moment (that it is light) outside. I can’t remember the last time it was 65-70 degrees in Indiana in November but I am not complaining. I would happily take this weather all year long. If only the leaves would stop falling faster than we can get them cleaned up!

Is anyone else not too thrilled that Starbucks has launched their Red cups already? I always look forward to my first red cup/Peppermint Mocha of the season on Black Friday. With them out already, it makes it hard to get excited about that treat. Ask me again in a few weeks and they WILL be on the top of my favorites list. While they are not my favorite right now, here are a few of my Friday Favorites.

Brooks Running released the Adrenaline GTS 16 this week. I am already trying to decide what color I want when my current shoes wear out. I love my current pair and am so excited to see the new line coming out!

Straight No Chaser’s new album The New Old Fashioned came out last week and that has been the only thing I have listened to this week. Little Man and I even had a dance party one day when he was refusing to nap and Shut Up and Dance With Me came on. If you like music, go check them out you will not regret it.

I am NOT in Christmas cookie mode yet but I came across this recipe for Chocolate Peppermint Cookies and I have stashed it away on my Cookie Day Pinterest board for December.

On the Christmas note, I’m trying not to think ahead to Christmas too much but if anyone is looking to get crafty for Christmas presents, check out these DIY Painted Mugs. I want to make all of them, they are so cute!

With 2 months left of 2016, don’t forget to order your planner or organizer for next year!

What are some of your favorite things this week?
Is Starbucks too early kicking off their red cups?

    1. I’m not ready for the snow. I would take this weather back we had this week in a heartbeat!

  1. Red cup season is my favorite! Have you checked out their Red Cup Contest on Instagram? It’s pretty awesome. I haven’t tried out Brooks Running shoes yet but those look super cute! Let me know what you think of the new ones if you order them!

    1. I have not heard about the contest! I will have to check that out! I’m not ready for the official holiday season to start but I guess I have to accept it. I LOVE Brooks and can’t wait to get the new ones when my current pair run down!

  2. The new Adrenalines look so pretty! They’re a little too much support for me, but I’m really excited to try out the new Ravennas when they come out! I used to work at a running store and got a sneak peak of the new version a few months ago in a photo. Can’t wait to see them in person! I’m super excited about red cups, too. I love the holiday season, and red cups are definitely one of the first signs it’s coming!

    1. I love all shoes from Brooks, I wish I could have them all for different purposes!

  3. There was a time when the holiday items didn’t show until after Thanksgiving. It’s sad that companies like Starbucks are already putting out the holiday colors. Some started in September!
