Happy Amazon Prime Day

Apparently today is Amazon Prime Day. I was a little confused so I looked into it a bit more. It turns out, Amazon Prime is offering up “more deals than Black Friday” today in honor of Amazon’s 20th birthday, they are giving away 24 hours of deals. I’m all about adding another random Holiday to July!

Regardless, I never turn down a deal and Amazon Prime has been an AMAZING deal for us.

We are the generation that buys everything online. I won’t lie I’ve been lazy enough to buy shampoo online because it’s easier. If you catch some of the good lightning deals during the holiday season you can get 150 rolls of toilet paper for pretty cheap too. Keep your eye out, if it is anything like holiday lightening deals there will be some good surprises.

Amazon Prime is one of those things that I used to think was completely stupid, but has been an amazing money saver for us over the last few years. With the amount of items we order on a weekly (yes, some weeks we order weekly) we have saved a ton on shipping. A newer feature that they have added is giving you the option to get $1 in digital content credit if you choose a slower shipping option. More often than not I opt for this option since I’m not usually in a huge hurry to get whatever I’m ordering. Save up a few dollars and get a free book. You really can’t lose there.

With that being said there is also a number of deals available ONLY to prime members. Our Fourth of July bathroom decorations were $9.99 cheaper because we were using Amazon Prime (I know everyone is still very jealous of those decorations). Some days, it really does pay off to pay for Amazon Prime.

Today is a great example.

According to Amazon

Prime Day is a one-day shopping event on July 15, 2015, with more deals than Black Friday. Prime members can shop exclusive deals from electronics, toys, video games, movies, clothing, patio, lawn and garden, sports and outdoor items and more.

Head on over and sign up for Prime and you won’t regret it. If after 30 days you don’t like, it… cancel it before you get charged!

P.S. Yes, my Amazon affiliate links are in here…. BUT I truly do love Prime and have never once regretted our yearly subscription!
