Weekly Workouts & A Treadmill Speed Workout

Disclaimer: This post may contain affiliate links.

This week was hands down my most successful week of weekly workouts in awhile. For the most part I was on point with food (there may have been a gummy bear incident or two) and I feel so much better than I did by the end of last week.

Not only did I get four runs in this week, I also hit my 10,000 steps every single day! I couldn’t tell you the last time that happened.

For the first time in about 4 months I feel like I’m really starting to get back into my daily groove. Next week my goal is to run 5 days, we’ll see how that goes.

Sunday:

Technically it was a rest day but I will own up to spending about 20 minutes in a bounce house with my nieces. I also spent a few hours cleaning the house and doing laundry. It’s amazing how simple chores can wear you down like a workout!

Wednesday:

This became my rest day for the week. I decided to skip my morning run (after falling asleep at 8pm Tuesday night) and catch up on things around the house that I needed to get done. The events of the past week had completely worn me out so I needed a little bit of catch up time. I did pull off a walk in the evening with little man so I felt a lot better after that.

Total Steps: 10,807

Thursday:

By today I started to feel the good effects of eating better. I felt like my pace was picking up and that I was able to push myself a little harder on the run.

Treadmill Run
Distance: 3.31
Time: 30:02 (Pace: 9:04 min/mile)

Total Steps: 13,637

Friday:

Every once and awhile as I start to feel better on the treadmill, I also run into the problem of getting bored on the treadmill. A concrete wall will only talk back to you for so long (kidding). I like to play around with different speeds when I do get bored and thought I’d share my fun little simple treadmill speed workout I did this morning.

This run reminded me why I love pushing myself on runs so much. I already am looking forward to doing it again next week.

Treadmill Run
Distance: 3.5
Time: 30:48 (Pace: 8:48 min/mile)

Saturday:

With a quick trip to the apple orchard and a lot of house cleaning to prepare for the Notre Dame Football party we hosted tonight, I managed to pull off steps without needing to fit in a workout.

Total Steps: 16,245
