Each month I say I miss having coffee dates with friends. Luckily this week I had a wonderful knitting & coffee date with my friend and we were able to catch up on all aspects of life. I understand that a weekly coffee date isn’t realistic for all of my friends, but over the years of having a blog and making a number of new friends online I’ve also learned to have an online coffee date with them. How are you doing today? Would you like to join me for a coffee date?
If we were having coffee I would tell you that I really miss Spring or Fall. We have been incredibly lucky with a mild Winter this year but I miss the 60 degrees. We’re expecting the heat wave of 45 this weekend! Wohoo!
If we were having coffee I would tell you that bedtime with a toddler is incredibly fun. By fun, I mean frustrating. Ever since Winter break ended we’ve been struggling with bedtime, it has become a 2-3 hour ordeal and has not been fun. I finally resorted back to rocking. Don’t judge me.
If we were having coffee I would tell you that I’m currently obsessed with Gloria Jeans Macadamia Nut kcups. They are so flavorful and work great with a little bit of half and half.
If we were having coffee I would tell you that I recently found this website called JavaFly. I haven’t tried it yet but I’m curious if it really does save you money in the long run. They have discounts on Kcups (including ones that are generally out of stock elsewhere). We generally buy a box of Kcups at Costco every month or so, but their flavors have been limited. I wind up buying another box or two for myself because I don’t usually like plain coffee. This would allow us to spend around $50 every month and a half and get a few different flavors.
If we were having coffee I would tell you that these nutella stuffed cookies that popped up on my Facebook timeline look amazing. I also have started to hate that I see these videos all of the time. I don’t actually expect to ever make anything but I find myself saving them all the time. Why do I do this to myself?
If we were having coffee I would tell you that I’m enjoying the slight amount of sunset we still get to see at 5pm when leaving work. For some reason it feels early this year to be getting out when there is still light but it makes the evenings just a little bit better.
If we were having coffee I would tell you that Little Man and Daddy are making the most of not being able to play their nightly baseball outside. Little Man’s new favorite activity, nightly baseball in the basement. It really is so much fun to watch.
If we were having coffee, what would you tell me?
Have you tried JavaFly before?
How well do your kids go to bed at night? Actually maybe I don’t want you to answer that question.
How often do you get to enjoy coffee dates with friends?
this is such a cute post idea. If we were having coffee I would tell you that I save all those facebook videos too and havent ever made one! I would also tell you that I’m ready for spring/summer as I sit at work in my winter coat still! happy tuesday! xx

OH. Man. Toddler sleep stuff is the worst – I don’t think I would have been able to survive that stage without cosleeping.
I will have to check out that javafly website. That sounds pretty cool!

If we were having coffee I would tell you that I love meeting new bloggers, especially in real life.
If we were having coffee I would tell you I’m so excited to graduate from Iowa State in May, but anxious/excited about my traveling plans after entering the “real world”.
If we were having coffee I would tell you I’m SO over winter and walking in salty slush.
If we were having coffee I would tell you I’m so glad I found your page through our Facebook group and I’m excited to follow you! 🙂
I love this post idea. If we were having coffee I’d tell you that I’ve been snowed in for almost a week and I really need to get of the house and just go do something — maybe go to a coffee shop 😉

I am so sorry bedtime with your toddler has been so frustrating. I won’t judge you for resorting back to rocking – I can’t say I understand as I’m not a MOm, but I do sympathize. I too want spring so bad (no fall for me please).

I would tell you that you are not alone with the bedtime frustration. The past two weeks have been long and miserable…

I love these posts! I wish I had more time to have coffee dates with friends but life is way to busy. I would tell you that I wish I had more hours in the night to sleep. I feel there is never enough. Honestly. I’ve never heard of Javafly but it does sound interesting. Nutella is so amazing. I could literally sit there and just eat away at a jar (if only I could).

I love blog coffee dates! Since we are having one, I’d tell you that it DOES feel like the days are getting longer, I’m still trying to intentionally live and love well, and that I can’t wait to turn 30!
This was so sweet and I totally know what you mean – probably a little more than you ever know, because I live on a mountain over an hour from the nearest town on a ranch with maybe 5 other people around other than my family and no “coffee shops” in sight. If I was having coffee with you I would probably need it spiked with something so I can keep my mind off all the wrongs that my hubby is probably doing at home with my little ones. I am so out of touch with things that all that you are sharing and are into is completely foreign to me – sounds like fun though!
